... of our accommodation. Montreal seems to be a city with high unemployment and its fair share of issues. It seems like an expensive place to live and the area we were in was on the edge of the downtown city area. Buildings were dilapidated and we walked passed empty shops in this neighbourhood.

Our next encounter with a local was actually a policeman on point duty. We were surprised to see his uniform included a pair of pink camo cargo pants. He also wore ...

Duff arrived home and decided now would be a good time for a bike ride so he and Ian got themselves kitted out - Duff's spare bike was the right size and the shoes he lent Ian were exactly the same as the shoes Ian has in Melbourne. Lin, Jesse and I headed out to see the farm that Caleb works on. It is amazing and is owned ...

... of New York State and saw some snow on one of the mountains (Mt Marcy perhaps?). Home down the Interstate which was much quicker than our earlier journey. Lin's parents and brother came to dinner so we had home cooked baked beans (in maple syrup which were very yummy), cooked ham, coleslaw and then I had cooked a pavlova for dessert. Not quite my best ever pavlova but it was received well and perhaps Lin will ave to cook one again ...
