... things!
We really had on idea how many islands there are up here either. We even found one shaped like a heart!
When we landed we got to tour an old B-17 bomber. It had Gretta Garbo on the outside of it as the pin up girl. The bombs and bullets were all still in place. They even had a mannequin in the tail section to show what that was like. How they ever got anyone over the age of three into that tiny little section is beyond me! It was ...

... it. No room for pie this time. On our way back to our campsite we drove out and snuck in to the Lighthouse near our campground at dusk to take in the after sun set view.

Anyway, there is a very nice paved walkway around the summit area that is not too strenuous. ...

... step outside is impossible. With our eyes glued to the brightest stars we had ever seen, we sat speechless as if we were seeing the night sky for the first time. Not only was the night sky a magical so were all of rocks that jutted out from the shore into translucent crystal like water. We sat and picnicked and enjoyed the rays of sun and the breeze while the gentle sound ...

Day 32 Cruise Bar Harbour, Maine

A travel blog entry by caz1947 on Aug 16, 2013

Today were going on a tour that takes us to Cadillac Mountain, and to view the highlights of Arcadia National Park. Then on to see Bar Harbours historic mansions before attending a lobster bake, where we all have our own 1.25 lb lobster. Really enjoyable tour around Mount Desert Island, Maine. We started the tour around the town of Bar Harbour, passing by many of the summer cottages (mansions) before taking ...
