... One guy even had a Human Kinetics book out making sure he was doing things right!
The weather cooperated until we were finished and then the rain came down at Sand Beach. We caught the bus back to Jordan Pond and had the popovers and lemonade one last time.
We really had a great time visiting Acadia National Park. If you haven't been hopefully you can put it on your bucket list.
Time to move on to ...

Back in the United States

Friday was our day to get back into the United States of America!! we were going to Bar Harbor, Maine to see Acadia National Park. The border crossing went easy but for the first time the border patrol entered our camper. They had entered every camper in front of us so they were checking for something. All I know is they finally said "move on" and then we were back into the US of A!!

... so proper planning is crucial. The area is a summer play spot of the rich and famous.

Mount Desert Island is the largest in Maine and the third largest in the US. It's elongated shape with finger like extensions and long narrow lakes was carved by a glacier. It is known for its frigid waters, rugged granite coast line and its beautiful fresh water lakes.

... Had a bright blue lobster to show us. When a female is brought up with eggs on its tail, they put a hole in the middle tail fin, so it will be recognised as a female the following year if caught.

Stopped at Jordan Pond in the park – this has been made by glacial activity and looked very dreamy in the mist.

... better but all parking lots were full and we (I) got pretty frustrated as several stops. We had to skip Jordan Pond House and Pond because there just wasn't any room to park after driving around several times. We went on to Bubble Pond where we had the same issue, One guy just parked in back of two other cars. I noticed a Scouting bumper sticker on his back window and wondered if that was him being courteous or Kind. :) When we ...
