The Importance of Names

At the zoo, I have been given the name Halima, by the zookeepers I work with. They said they couldn't remember Labshaka ever, and that they liked the name Halima better. It took them a month to decide that I was sticking around, and that I belonged. This name is symbolic to me, as it signifies that I have truly become a part of the staff at the zoo.
