... by a middle aged drunk woman who took us in the wrong direction. As it got dark, we conceded defeat and headed back to the city. We spent a few hours in a pub then decided to catch a midnight bus out there. At 3:30 am on the 5th day of travel, we finally made it to the mountains.
After about 3 hours sleep we were up and on our way to Arapahoe Basin. We got to the top of the hill, bleary eyed and stiff, but all of a sudden filled with energy. We gave each other a big hug, ...

We stopped for lunch in Frisco, CO and ate too much yard-bird to continue. Frisco hotel has gridiron on the box, a hot tub, wi-fi and a moose head in the lobby. All the comforts of ...

On Digger's last day we drove up through the high country north of Jefferson up over Georgia Pass (11,585ft on the Continental Divide) in his 'Lincoln Navigator' hire car - he had to change from his BMW 740 after the sunroof exploded!!!!. Test fired a few weapons......
Very pristine environment above the tree line. Not a good place to be in the middle of winter.....
Beautiful views and the Aspen trees just beginning to change colour as winter approaches....

... that specifically say “single file”) We had no choice but to stay behind them be cause the road was narrow with a steep drop off and winding hairpin turns. They started waving us around but they couldn’t see what was coming and cars kept winding around the bend which we would have hit head on if we would have listened to them! So fast forward to today. We are headed up the road to Maroon Bells and there is a sign at the ...
