      ... on the other Loveland base (Loveland Valley). We were skiing on Loveland Basin. So we decided to connect at the bottom of Loveland Basin. As they were skiing down to the base - Vienne lost control and went into the trees and hit a tree head on. The ski patrol had to get her out of the trees as she suffered a concussion. They took her via ambulance all the way back to the Denver children's hospital in Aurora. ...

      ... A cute place, pretty small, friendly staff. Looked in a few stores on Main Street, including a great little used book store called Ole Man Berkins - I couldn't help but buy a couple of books. Back to the condo, then on to the slopes. We did a few green runs, then up to the top of Peak 9 and came down Bonanza (blue) on to some greens (Lower American) etc. Then dressed for dinner and walked to Briar Rose Chop House - excellent!       ... I will withhold from going into a long-winded praise of organizations such as Summer Search that sponsor underprivileged children on an outward bound-esq trip and mentor them). Point being, everyone can always use a gentle reminder about respecting other cultures and in turn assisting in the global dialogue as we continued to become a "flat" world. In the words of the Dalai Lama, "observe different expressions of kindness and compassion."
