Before we left Lexington, we stopped for a Geocache in a nearby park. There is a challenge cache at home for which I can qualify if I find, on one calendar day, two caches which are at least 500 miles apart. We will end the day in Hope, Arkansas, and there is a cache in a lamppost at the Walmart there which is about mile from the hotel and 671 miles from Lexington. Today we visited Lake Bistineau State Park in Shreveport. It was quite a sight. All the trees were under water. We bought granola bars and gatorades. It costed $15. We filled up the tank for $34.85. We stayed the night in a hotel costing $129.00. Next its off to Mississippi.

Left Memphis this morning in the glorious sunshine although a little on the chilly side (47F). Not much to say on this day except that we basically drove clear across Arkansas. We planned to stop in a Flying J in Texarkana so just short of the city we pulled in, gassed up, got ourselves fed up and are heading out to the trailer to spend the night.
