... had nothing to do really, I walked in the garden, saw the raspberry bushes, a lovely tree house, a little pond with fish, the lawn where the dogs love to play around... A little paradise!

I so much enjoyed to be part of a family, everybody around the breakfast table in the morning, the funny Corki dogs, the cat that comes to sleep on my bed, and seeing my old friend Phil after so many years.

Tomorrow I take my Amtrak train to Montreal, next visit!

I know he was disappointed that he had to cancel the last leg of his race, but I will say it was nice not having to drive all the way out to the start early and ...

Quick jaunt into Woodstock--"quick" being the operative word here. We found a supposedly dog-friendly spot online (Bringfido.com) but was told upon arrival that only service dogs were allowed. Debbie Downer. They did, however have an outdoor picnic table where the happy hour crowd usually congregates so we decided to order at the bar and dine there instead. Our food arrived and we commenced to eating until ...

... Winded in Windham, how appropriate. He was content with his time, but as ever, cited room for improvement. Tomorrow's race is the big one, a 77 miler.

We are currently sitting outside as I write this: a glass of wine at my right, the sun setting, the wind whistling through the air and each of us with a dog in our laps. Ah, contentment. Tonight we are venturing to Woodstock for dinner. I shall relay our experience in another entry. Til next time...
