... a smattering of restaurants, one of which we chose due to the proximity of a picnic table at which could sit & eat with the dogs. After scarfing down an ahi tuna poke tower and chicken wrap we started on our trek home. I'm sure Tim would have liked to have been able to complete the race, but as a whole, the weekend was a nice detox from work and life in ...

Quick jaunt into Woodstock--"quick" being the operative word here. We found a supposedly dog-friendly spot online (Bringfido.com) but was told upon arrival that only service dogs were allowed. My mom and little brother, Coltn, picked me up and we went to Kerhonkson to my Uncle Brett's house. Geez, do I feel sorry for him. He had ten extra people staying with him and we ate all of his food and wrecked his house. Poor guy.

What fun, though! Family came from ...

Departure from Nyack (we got dropped off just a bit out of NYC to avoid traffic) went well. We cycled approximately 65 km (40 miles). It was quite hilly (a lot more than what I am used to) but we eventually made it to Beacon, NY where we camped for the night in someone's backyard.
Second day was a bit easier, still hilly but not as steep. We also cycled approximately 65 km (40 miles) from Beacon to Rhinebeck, ...
