... morrow. Mac had the map so we were set and as well as sorting dinner somehow stumbled into a 7eleven and got some basics for our fridge. Home and settled at 10 pm.......still a little motion sick with the distinct feeling that the earth was moving. Is it too early to worry about the cruise. PS got a message from the Whistler crew that they went for their first downhill run! Glad we missed it ;) Monday Temperature: 20 Pedometer: 9 325 Bear Sightings = 0 Total Bear Sightings = ...

... A short drive from our hotel, we arrived at Meiji-jingu, Tokyo's most famous Shinto shrine. Our guide, Yumi, explained that Shinto is essentially a religion where anything can be a god. One can thank the vegetable gods for food, the flower gods for beauty, and so on. On a day to day basis, religion seldom enters the Japanese thoughts, but it is still important to visit shrines, make prayers and give thanks. This shrine is set in a huge park with over ...

There can be no doubt that the Greeks venerated the perfect male body and many larger-than-life ...

This is written after the fact due to dreadful wi-fi on the Ryndam. It was expensive and twenty minutes of time would often result in absolutely nothing. So we quickly gave up using it except for cursory checking of e-mails. Beth, Neil, Sean, Stephanie, Sabrina, Rowland and I flew KLM to Amsterdam but quickly transferred to a flight to Athens where we would overnight at the Acropolis Select Hotel which is a 10 minute walk to the Acropolis. The location could ...

... While she explained this to us, she totally forgot to ask if we brought anything back from the US and we could drive on pretty quickly. We kept this green card, so we can enter the US again before June 8th. We just need to make sure they get the card back before that, otherwise they still think we are there, and we can also do this at the airport before we fly home. How convenient, eh.
