    The next day we went to the Santa Barbara Mission in the morning, mainly because we have heard of so many throughout California and there are streets named after them but we didn’t really know what it was all about, so we went for a bit of a history lesson. It was a beautiful building, very picturesque and we learnt a thing or two about the missions.

    ... we had had a fairly big lunch at Nepenthe. As for the Mustang Convertibles. Apparently it has been a long tradition to travel this road with the top down in a convertible. We saw all kinds of them. We spoke to a fellow who was driving one with a NY lisence plate and asked him if he had driven all the way but "NO"- he was from London, England and had picked it up in LA.
