... supposed to be from 1pm to 4pm and we were supposed to sail at 5. Even though we arrived at the terminal before noon, and they were already checking people in, many passengers and crew were not finished the process until after 6pm. We finally sailed about 8.

We arrive in Tampico tired and get a taxi out to a hotel that no longer exists. Our taxi driver suggests another which is undergoing building work, and we end up at the beach front where half the hotels are stupidy expensive towers of sanity, or grimy part-time brothels. We end up back at the bus station and buy our tickets out for the next morning!

... there was probably only a few dozen people there. The beach was a very secluded and protected bay because unfortunately the Sea of Cortez is not conducive to swimming because of the strong undertow.
Unfortunately P&I spent a bit too much time in the sun and so now we're in a wee bit of pain....won't do that again. We will really lather on the sunscreen in future and try to do more time in the shade although ...
