... out around 10pm and started of at a bar which had a really bad tribute band but very cheap happy hour, then moved on to a place with a great tribute band which spurred us on to sing along to some Robbie classics, then we finished in a bar called de ja vu where all the back packers seem to head. The wild rover ( the promiscuous chain of hostels that are dotted around Peru and Bolivia) crew turned up and proceeded to entertain us ...

... visiting the Monasterio de Santa Catalina, a really interesting convent that back in the day was inhabited by rich nuns who had servants and regularly had feasts and parties! In the 1800's they got found out, after 3 centuries of decadence, and were forced to live the life of normal nuns. The monastery is a 20,000square meter city within the city. Definitely was worth a visit.

Afterwards, still feeling a bit sorry for ourselves after yesterdays ...

Picked up from the hostel early yesterday morning from my Colca Canyon tour. I was the only person from this hostel going so I was glad to see others on the bus. Mostly Brits, some quiet Germans, some loud Americans and a couple of Peruvians. Headed straight up the mountain into the National Park. ... ook bij de tour inbegrepen en is prima verzorgd. 3 gangen lunches en maaltijden. Nog nooit zoveel soep gegeten.

De derde dag gaan we ziplinen (canopy). Aan een tuigje hangen we aan een stalen kabel 150 meter boven de grond en roetschen we naar beneden. Wat is dit leuk! Alsof je door de lucht vliegt, met enorme snelheid via 6 'vluchten' (lijnen) gaan we naar beneden. De ene is langer en hoger, de andere steiler. De kabels zijn tussen de bergen ...
