Drove 140 miles on 2.5 hours.
The purpose of this stop was to take a peak at the legendary Augusta National Golf Course, the home of the US Masters golf tournament.
The town itself is nondescript for such a famous location. Its hard to fathom where the spectators and media would stay during the tournament as its not a large town and dining and entertainment options are limited.
... of appeal and a vibrant arts community. Not to mention if you are a horse person, it's a paradise, or a golfer for that matter as well.
Cathy and Arlen are our friends and neighbors from North Andover, MA and we go back about 36 years (wait, I'm not that old)...yeah right!! Also caught up with another friend from Hilton Head (the first couple we met when we moved there) Avery, and had a lovely lunch with her and Cathy. Thanks, Avery.

... the Bartram Country Club and Mark showed us some of the local area sights including the gates of the beautiful Augusta National Golf Club and downtown Augusta, which is pretty cool.
This trip was a bit of a blast from the past and confirmed we can no longer hang with the big dogs and function properly. Back to the comfortable role of grandparents as we head north to spend couple of days with our son Shawn and his beautiful family in New Bern, NC.
... for us as we could walk from the main stage to our RV in about 5 min and we could see the playground from our possie right in front of the stage, so the kids rocked the playground and checked out the pig racing by themselves whilst we listened to the music ranging from bluegrass to indie rock.
When we visited the playground on day 1 Phoenix was surrounded by a gang of 11 year olds as they quizzed him about NZ, ...
