... that sells fresh fish, so I bought a big slab of King salmon and one of Halibut - relish, baby. There's a wide, winding trail along the shore, out to the state park that I rode a couple of times on my new bike - loved that!

Watched the Hawks Thursday night for the start of the season - more booty kicking. Off to a good start.

After 12 days, we're relaxed but ready to move on.

... unremarkable, as far as port cities go. I took a few pictures, that you can look at. South Bend was a little more interesting, with its Worlds Largest Oyster exhibit. The prettiest part of the trip were the conservation lands just South of South Bend. The wetlands were striking in comparison to the dense rainforest a we had just traversed. ... veggies for 50 cents. We continued along Willapa Bay through Tokeland and were delighted at the wonderful flatland scenery. We tried stopping a few times, but the Mosquitos were as thick as the fog had been earlier in the morning, so all of my pictures were rushed. As darkness approached, Kevin's rear tire started losing air at an alarming rate. Not wanting to fix it that moment, he tried pumping it up. ... in on the action. I spotted an interesting seafood joint a little outside the main area of attraction. The special, it turned out, was fresh salmon burgers caught only a few hours prior. Smothered with homemade tarter sauce atop a greasy bun, it was by far the tastiest snack I have eaten this far on this trip.
