We have had a couple of down days.

Highlights included finding a pair of fresh water lakes in the Nickerson National Park which helped as we have discovered they are having a bit of a shark problem on the cape!

... a pot of krill. Really caught our interest and passed the time.

The first whale was spotted way off the normal track and when we got to the feeding ground we had 7-9 whales feeding. I am v proud of James' video that he took and have included it with some ropey stills. Also great views of the lighthouses and dunes. We were all really aware of being caught on the wrong side of the boat. We also had three "full breaches" the classic hunchback up and out of the water but ...

Greater injury was the parking ticket we got for not displaying a 'Beach Permit' - smallest sign ever at approach to beach so now need to work out how to pay a fine when it wants a cheque. Ho hum. Only $30 but a hassle.
