After organising ourselves we drove up to the more rugged Cape Cod National Seashore which is a beautiful 26 mile drive. The entire area has not succumbed to over development and so it has retained a lazy, sandy and rugged charm....I can see why JFK loved the area.

... coming down here on Saturday and N had a decent nap. Our house in Brewster is really lovely! We set the little boys up in a bedroom together and hoped for the best. It has worked out well so far, though they've been napping separately due to slightly different nap times and N's need for dark (fortunately there are some big, dark closets that can be made cozy without losing ventilation!). Saw them later on in the evening on the pier waiting for their sunset cruise and chatted again. The Sperm Whale was the whale most sought after for its quality oil (it didn't smoke) from the mid-1700's to the late 1830's.

Nantucket boast no stop lights, neon signs or chain stores on their Island. They have a fantastic interest in preserving the tranquil nature of the island, in because of this, there are many acres of pristine land never to be developed! Good for them!
