    As foreseen we arrived an hour later and as we didn't have to check in our rug sacks we walked straight through. Andrea had found out on the net that we could ask for a free transfer to the hotel so she did just before we left. We were pleasantly surprised to find it there waiting for us.     ... too late and two too many San Miguel Pilseners…big tour of Bohol tomorrow.
    J-she finishes the evening in fine form by spilling her nightcap of Wild Turkey all over the doona. She takes it to reception and they inform it will cost 300 pesos to clean. Despite J-she’s protests that it’s 1/3 of the nights room rate, it’s a fixed fee. That certainly negates our wins with the taxis earlier.

    Off to bed, probably shouldn’t have had those Wild Turkeys ...

    ... Du was delighted. We had a real and overdue sense of escape. Then the first of the traveling sea salesmen formated on us and alighted on our bangka quite expertly, if without welcome. He had shells and trinkets to sell and was persuasive, then insistent, then almost aggressive. Soon he had a competitor on board. Then the free loading ladies joined in.     ... the taxi, which is high class there must be a middle tier...and there is...that experience is yet to come...

    My life here is good but there is so much poverty around me I feel sheltered and that just not my 'groove'! I need to re-evaluate where I am and make adjustments...just as I thought I would. Hmmm, the infrastructure in Thailand was so good but the Thai people see a goal and don't enjoy the experience in achieving it..in other words smelling the flowers as they grow ...
