... experience with vids, music photos. Fan or not, the trip is exceptionally well done and a fascinating insight into what huge wealth can do to a po boy with simple tastes . The sheer amount of footage and music though does make you want to rush to a karaoke bar, don a jumpsuit and sing "Suspicious Minds" He lives in all our hearts. ... in the room showing the background. You also heard rare recordings from that studio and was able to hold the microphone they all used, so was quite a neat little tour! Sadly after this we had to leave Memphis. We both agreed that this was probably one of our favourite cities in America, which I for one was definitely not expecting. ... we were today. It was really good, and again felt like we were experiencing the beginning of rock and roll. But that is the only good thing about Memphis! It is a seedy, dilapidated, run down city. It needs a whole lot of TLC to bring this blighted city up to standard. Thankfully I booked us a room in a boutique hotel across the Mississippi on Mudd Island which is safe and pretty. Tonight we went down to Beale Street, but left after an hour.
