... 9:45....so it will be five hours to get us to Augsburg, when the whole trip was supposed to take only that long.....if we're stuck in Augsburg for an hour and then we have the forty minute ride to Schrobenhausen, we will be arriving almost two hours after we planned.....this is our first experience with travel disruptions and delays on German trains....nice that they weren't trains that required reservations nor that we had anything or anyone waiting at our destination. ...

... were told that they were without honour and that they were sub-human and that they would be treated as such. Prisoners were tortured and humiliated by the 'SS' (which is Hitlers private army). Punishments would include beatings by other Prisoners and the nasty pole hanging, which prisoners hands were tied behind there backs and they were hung from a pole by their hands for few hours. This was a particularly nasty punishment as it would cause permeant injury to the wrist ...

... walking in the grounds, and lots of joggers. A beautiful stop, and highly recommended!

The 4 buildings we visited were a model of a Chinese Pagoda, a Bath House complete with an indoor swimming pool, a Hunting Lodge with mirrors and gold leaf decoration, and a Chapel that was deliberately built to look like it was in ruins. There were a fair number of water features as well; fountains, and a grand canal similar ...
