We drove 475km today. The first 150km on freeway at 120+km/hr which was a dream. Still lots of trucks but the cruise control may have been disengaged twice for the whole length. Then after fuel we were off to a smaller road but just as good. ...

Even with 8 hours of hiking today, the Absaroka Mudslide kept me lying in my sleeping bag staring at the tent ceiling for at least an hour. Quite a rare occurrence on the trip. But eventually, Sleep stopped playing hide and go seek in the woods with Father Time and the Boogeyman and tucked me in for the ...

      D19: MORE FOOD!

... we had to adjust ourselves to cooking for 5 people instead of 3 or 4. This definitely threw a kink into our habits, especially since we still tented in groups of 3-4, meaning that everyone in our cook group wouldn't also be in the same tent group. Just another new thing to figure out :)

Upon finishing my spice kit duties, I picked up the bag of food that I'd re-rationed myself and dug in with reckless abandon. I ate about 2/3 of the granola bag ...
