We have just finished up a restful visit to Syracuse, the town Ben had lived in while he did his undergraduate studies at SUNY ESF (State University of NY College of Environmental Science and Forestry...say that 3 times really fast!).

      Departed Chicago for Syracuse

Another lucky break! Staff travel on American Airlines from Chicago to Syracuse and on loaded first flight. Picked up a car at the airport then found our motel in Liverpool. We filled up with gas in Ashland and then took I-95 north to route 17 in Fredricksburg. Route 17 is the scenic route that heads into the mountains of Virginia. I was already bored out of my gourd before we hit I-81 in Winchester. Buddy was ready for a morning nap so I drove again...and didn't wreck this ...

Mothers Day at Stone Quarry Hill Art Park

Kara and I were thinking of where to go for our Mothers Day outing when John came up with this art park in Casenovia. Casenovia didn't seem that far and art parks, gardens were an all-time favorite with us so we set off. I have expected to go to Kara's since it was in a Western direction but she beat me to it and arrived at my house with flowers around 9 am. It probably would have taken me another hour to get to her house, but I had already ...
