... We agree these are the finest mussels either of us have tasted, far superior to our western mussels.
We all dined at the Gahan House, a microbrewery in Charlottetown on what else but mussels and seafood linguine, fabulous! Good company, good beer, good food what more is there?

We bid farewell to Ann, Rusty and Jasper after a wonderful respite and hope to see Ann again, on the west coast ...
In Cavendish ...
... offen. Schade!
... an hour and then it was just 5 minutes down the road to a beach for a swim and lunch. I didn’t end up swimming because as soon as we got out of the van, even though it was sunny, the wind off the ocean made it quite cool. The beach was down a bit of a cliff so I just sat up on the grass with a great view and watched the others down in the water trying to throw a Frisbee that kept being blown behind them.
After lunch onwards to Charlottetown which is the capital and ...
... park bench and cooked up some beans and apple cider. Trail mix for dessert. A couple locals pointed us towards a local park that might be of sleeping value. Upon arriving it was quickly realised the park consisted of not many trees and a boardwalk, but low and behold I discovered a small ravine behind the baseball field. I laid out the tarp and sleeping bag and he set up his hamock. We walked into the grass and gawked at the stars for some time before calling it a day! And what a day...
Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada jojojinks12... t bother if I were you. Have your lobster sans celery and burnt cheap bread and you'll probably be much happier. And bring your own drink. After lunch I kept wandering, straight out of the tent. I tried hard to be interested in the farming methods of potato people, but it was all a bit geography lesson. Further along the waterfront I found the tourist trap shops which were all looking a bit quiet. There was a big water-tray set-up in front of one of the stores with live lobsters ...
Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada southern-fairyGoodbye Nova Scotia! We headed to the PEI ferry and when we got on we saw the sun!!! I even got a little sun burnt on my forehead. This ferry ride was really nice and calm. We stood outside and listened to what might possibly be the worst band ever. We got to PEI and drove to ...
Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada meganj77... a musical based on the 2nd and 3rd books of the Anne of Green Gables series. I actually loved these books growing up, and enjoyed the musical, cheesiness and all. Turns out that the musical was co-written by a teacher at Wexford high school, which is in Scarborough not too far from where I grew up. My mom also knew the guy playing Gilbert.
Summerside is a sleepy, adorable, town. I really enjoyed the boardwalk; it's very tidy, lots of the stores ...
