10am and we are off to Durham to see my dearest sister. It's a beautiful day to drive the 300 odd miles. I couldn't believe how many different sets are roadworks there are..with 40 & 50 mph limits its slowing us down! We saw two red kites over Oxford, and just after Doncaster there were six windmills. A bit of computer time thereafter and bed after the witching hour. Took one aspirin but figure it won't be enough.

Quickly ate some cereal and a pastry, no time to brush out teeth and we met at the elevators to Horizon Court. I don’t get why the Cruise Director did not do a reminder to the audience in the theatre nor why our cabin steward didn’t verbally advise us when we saw her ...

Our cruise had been a most enjoyable one, and will be long remembered. Cunard and the Queen Mary 2 had gone out of their way to make our time on board as pleasant and as luxurious as possible, and they succeeded. I know I had a couple of moans and whinges about the very few hopeless and arrogant and greedy and wasteful and uncouth and loud and very loud passengers, but if I allow myself to be philosophical about it, I realise that they are not doing this to me, but that I am ...
