... were a few remnants of Australia's Americas Cup win in 1983, which was pleasing, including an Australian milk bar, replete with hot pies and all.
Otherwise Newport was quaint in the way of all New England towns and was similar to villages in the UK of the same vintage (Newport is celebrating its 375th birthday this year!).
So the breakdown of New England;
1. Best state - Maine
2. Best city - Boston
3. Ideal holiday destination - Cape Cod
... But don't worry! I know that when I go walking around not to be in crowded places, but to actually walk down dark and secluded alley ways and not to kept to myself, but actually try to engage in conversations with tall dark hooded people in the sketchy parts of the cities I visit. (These are all JOKES! I know I shouldn't do any of that and don't worry I'll be safe and I'll always trust my gut instinct). Plus I'm sure I'll learn some more French once I get there.

Woke to rain pattering on the roof. Actually, it was more of a pelting. We peaked out and the 2 tents set up next to us looked like they were floating on water. ... more so than harvard IMO and took me a while to get around it all. I then visited the oldest baptist church in the USA. It was nice, but old. The state house dominates the skyline, and is a building remeniscent of the dome building in washington dc, it is beautiful and one of my favourite buildings in the USA. I even got to go inside, for free, to see the senate and the rhode island state library.I then headed back downtown to explore the city's hundreds ...
