    ... Yountville, but it does explain why the town was familiar to me and that I had been there, after all. I tried to take a picture of the hotel, but the driver was going too fast by the time I realised where we were. Our last winery was Sutter Home where we tried a Reserve White Zindafel (a blush white), Retro Pinot Grigio and Retro Zindafel. These were the best of the wines we had tasted throughout the day plus they offered us bread and crackers to mop up the wine. It didn't ...

    ... of his famous restaurants are...French Laundry, etc. I chose Ad Hoc as *reasonably affordable* for a splurge and we weren't disappointed....a prix fixe menu, but we got to choose our entrée. Fantastic, and I loved the octopus that was an ad-on to the meal, so a definite first. Worth every point; I love fantastic food and this was.

    We took our last shots of Napa and headed back to SF, Brady for work on Monday, and my last day of exploring.

    ... the tasting, decent portions but wasn't the same "sipping wine with the kids".
