... Yountville, but it does explain why the town was familiar to me and that I had been there, after all. I tried to take a picture of the hotel, but the driver was going too fast by the time I realised where we were. ... br> Kuleto Estate Winery - Hands down one of the most romantic/beautiful places Patti and I have ever been. Pat Kuleto is a restaurateur who made his fortune designing fancy restaurants (He did McCormick and Schmick's and a ton of others). About 15 years ago Mr. Kuleto decides he wants to retire on a Tuscan estate, then also decides he is going to do this on top of a mountain in Napa Valley instead of Italy. No problem for Pat - he somehow designed and built an estate ...

... wine tours (by bus) seemed to be sky high in Napa and the local shuttle didn't go far enough for us to see everything. We therefore decided to rent bikes, so we could cycle through the town of Calistoga, right next to our camping site. We were happy to find out these bikes actually had brakes this time and Oli even got Mieke so far to wear a helmet.... only after a couple of wines that was! ;-)

We got a little map from the ...
