      ... the espresso coffee that they have brought from Italy, Limoncello, in short, the usual paranoia and certainly by behaving in this way will lose the opportunity to meet a great foreign cuisine which is one of the major points of interest to know the country they are visiting. The woman had given up for the dark color of the rice noodles !!!!! Maybe at home she eats even squid with all their black sauce! Poor ...

      Not much to report about the first day here in Patong, it was a long journey on the boat from Phi Phi and I surprisingly stressful mini van journey to the town from the port - the cab driver didn't speak a word of English and he didn't seem to know the town very well, so there was a lot of confusion as to where everyone wanted to be dropped off, one couple were staying in a new hotel which no one at the cab company seemed to know ...

      ... over. Mom went first, and I got some awesome pics, but then it was my turn. I had never had an elephant's trunk that close to my face before, so I was unprepared for its size and texture, but I braced myself as this cold, suction-like, living tube came towards me and its little hairs tickled my cheek.       ... on the beach, so after a few more cocktails in the pool, we headed down to join them at 'The Beach Club' for some chicken satays and a Singha or two. After another victory for the All Blacks, and with a combination of jet lag, lots of sun and drinks, we headed back to our room for room service (butter chicken and a beef burger.. not very Thai, I know) and an early night.
