... 160;Some success finally - but meanwhile -  it did require a Walmart parking lot stay ( very few of them left that will allow overnight parking) one night ...which was sorta fun to go into the store at midnight to use the bathroom - then find yourself browsing!!  Another night at a service plaza on the Florida Turnpike - nicely tucked in between two 18-wheelers!!  ...plus used points at the Marriott chain to get 4 'free' nights...including the last 2 ...

It's cruise day! We cannot embark until around noon, so we go for a walk. Up to the water taxi stand to pick up a schedule as we might want to take the water taxi tour when we return to Fort Lauderdale in 10 days. Then we walk over the bridge to take some photos of the ships in port. Yikes! With bells clanging and railroad crossing gates coming down we realize we want to be on the OTHER side of this drawbridge and we scurry across.

... ship – Central Park, Boardwalk, Solarium. Finally camping out in the Pool area that allowed smoking. Rob and I went down to check out our table, and glad we did. The numbers were incorrect, and it appeared that we were at a table for eight, not ten. The Matre'd took care of that for us. So we were all set.

Rob and I then tried to get in our room, and fortunately, we were able to! Oh my God, the room is insane. Way better than ...

... our muster station, situated at Studio B, the ice rink. Contrary to our previous cruises, we do not have to wear a lifejacket, as lifejackets are not in our rooms, but in the muster station. The security drill consists of a video, it lasts about 30 minutes, so it is no bother.
He, guess who we see at the muster drill ?? our shuttle neighbors the Schmitts !!

According to the cruise compass, there is a"Sailaway party with Dreamworks characters" at 5PM in the aquatheater on Deck ...
