... food on the end of the rod. It was quite fun as they jumped up and grabbed it viciously. You would not want to mess with one! After a few hours of being engrossed in all of this we headed home as we had a big drive to New Orleans the next day. It was about 4 hours to New Orleans and we had to drop the car back to the rental company which was a bit sad! I think we had worked out that it had been 3500 miles ...

... and traditional than Seaside. The Red Bar is busy, noisy, and looks a bit of a dive, but the queue outside despite a 90minute wait to be seated hinted at the quality inside. We were not to be disappointed. My dish of blackened grouper fish (chunky fillet grilled with Cajun spices) was by far the best seafood dish I've ever eaten, and up there with some of the best food I've eaten, period. We stay at the Commando Inn on Hurlburt Air Force Base and never see any commandos...I guess if we had seen any, they wouldn't have been very good commandos. Went to seaside today, very fun area with quaint shops, food trucks and beach access. Found a heck of a deal for a kids sand shovel, only $28. Had great lunch at crab shack, really yummy food! Had red gulf shrimp and Rick had Cuban sandwich on an elevated patio over the beach. Very awesome views with cool breezes. Red and purple flags meant dangerous waters and jelly fish. Surf up 8-10 feet so no swimming in the ocean ...
