    Disembarking from one of the best weeks of holidays I have ever had.
    Wish could stay another week. Not much sleep last night. Off the ship and had hire car by 8.30
    Bit of a jigsaw puzzle getting all our luggage in the boot. But we 2 clever girls. We did it.

    ... of the National Historic Landmark District, including many of the mansions their millionaire owners called “cottages”. On Thurs, 27 March we enjoyed the tram tour through the Historic District and going inside a couple of the cottages. Unfortunately we were unable to take any photos inside any of the homes. After our tour we were treated to a wonderful Brunch at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel.

    love love love this island. it is beautiful and peaceful. the whole island is state park, even though there are homes and inns and hotels on the island. there are no traffic lights and you can only drive 35 mph. several wonderful restaurants, beautiful golf courses, a bike path that goes around the entire island, through the live oaks, marshes, sand dunes, beaches. there is a museum and it offers trolly rides that will take you into some of the "cottages" as ...
