          ... Oak Island seemed to take forever. We finally made it to the beach house around midnight. My sister, Beth Ann, arrived several hours before us, and my cousin Joe got here right before us. He's on a photo gathering trip and will be staying for several days or however long he wants, or until we get sick of him. Whichever comes first.

          Too tired to do anything else, we unpacked and hit the sack.

          Hello from the Christchurch International Airport tarmac. We survived driving on the left side of the road. The first day of driving was pretty rough---both of us tended to hug the left (which here was the no shoulder side of the road, in the states it would be the center line obviously).
