    ... and steamed potatoes (no butter or sour cream). Felt more like a proper meal. if any food is left on your plate, you are offered a box to take it away. i stripped the meat off the bones when we got back to the motel - lunch for tomorrow.

    Finding bread rolls has been a bit tricky. We have had wraps for the last 2 days as an alternative.

    ... into Canada was quite long at times. They are doing lots of roadwork on the US side of the bridge. The bridge is very high above the water to allow boats to go through.

    Had lunch in the carpark of the welcome centre. Again could not find a bakery or buy just 2 rolls in the supermarket. Had wraps today - ham, tomato and some of the Wisconsin cheese that Madge gave us. The cheese still has the orange colour we saw last time but these cheeses ...

    ... the guest of honor was a gentleman that writes a Champagne newsletter to which the owner subscribes and his family. No less than 6 bottles of bubbles were opened, sampled and paired with appetizers of smoked salmon and local cheeses, a main course of wild mushroom fritatta with shaved truffle, that the owner annoyingly shared costs more than a month of my salary (Thanks, I want a raise!), and a berry tiramisu dessert.
