Yesterday was a terrific day. We went down to acclaimed River Park, a 22 mile path, gardens, piers, trails along the Tennessee river. Very picturesque, tranquil and affirming. Walking along a place like this reminds one that nature is a marvelous gift, that life is precious, love and relationships are sacred, laughter and joy are paramount and if you have all these enjoy every second ...

Loved our stay at this nice hotel with two great pools. Brody just turned 2 so loved the water slide. Rooms have full kitchen with stove, refrigerator, dishwasher. Also has washer and dryer. Right on the beach - $30/day to rent 2 chairs and an umbrella. Nice restaurant on site. Grocery store 1.5 miles away in a shady neighborhood. 1 hour drive from the Fort Lauderdale airport.

Arrived on Monday and took cab from ...

A bike trail across Kentucky, but still on paved roads.
Frustrated to the maximum.
We went to bed not quite knowing what to ...

Mammoth Caves Here We Come

... The caves were magnificent, one of Scotts "wanna do sometime" things. Scott disdains the term "bucket list". It has become such a part of the lingo of the generation we have entered as the Boomer Generation. Lacking a better term, we suffice with some innocuous term. We went on a couple of tours and took a different route back to the hotel to scout out escape routes from Central City. This was a mistake, it only made us ...
