Not much to write about...
My only reason to come to Houston was to visit the NASA space center. Frankly, it was unimpressive at best.
Houston downtown looked very busy, huge and un-inviting and I felt very tired at the same time. So I decided not to do anything else in Houston. I checked into a motel close to NASA and crashed.

Cancelled flight and problem solving
... the 7am from Houston to Austin. Sounded like a great suggestion, especially as there is a Marriott within the Houston airport.
So we did; the flight was fine and on-time. We were even able to sit together in Economy Plus, which isn't bad for a last-minute change. I had booked us a room at the Marriott; we took the train to the hotel and were in bed within 30 minutes of landing. The weekend was capped off at our first NBA game, Houston Rockets vs LA Clippers (not the lakers) and yes there are two LA teams. Great game, really close, went to Extra time, lots of cheering, stupid amount of cheerleaders, an hilarious mascot who kept steeling peoples' shoes and hiding them around the court and some fancy dunks and 3 pointers. ...
