    ... of Juliet and had a photo by her statue. Martin bought us a'kiss of Verona'- the dark chocolate is Juliet and the white one is Romeo. Apparently it was a true story and Shakespeare retold it and turned it into a play. All along the walls leading to the courtyard people had written their own declarations of love. When they were told they could no longer write on the walls, they decided to stick chewing gum - I think they should probably go back to letting people write on the walls! ...

    ... and Asian tourist in Switzerland chose today to come to Mount Titlis, so Tom and Dana headed down the mountain to find a cute (and wonderfully empty) bistro in Engelberg to have crepes.

    ... still higher up you can go on the gondola to see snow and get a better view of the surrounding areas (going to check it out tomorrow).

    After a reasonable meal, we watched the world cup finals. Most of the group and the staff manning the bar were German fans, so the win was quite exciting for them.

    ... it like no tomorrow. Next up we had a German/ Swiss sausage and potato rosti. This was ok, but it had nothing on the first meal. Finally we had a Swiss chocolate brownie. From here we again had free time and we went to Harry's watch shop. Here they sold VERY expensive watches and Swiss Army knives. Apparently they only sell white ones in Switzerland so I couldn't wait to get one. After having a look around the store I decided on the one I wanted. It's ...

    Today the 28th September we said our goodbyes to our family and left Noale for Switzerland. It took about 7 hours to get there. We drove through lots of mountains using tunnels. Some of the tunnels were 15km and 17km long. Our apartment building was half way up the mountain and then we had to walk up 71 steps to our third floor apartment. For some reason, we think because of the altitude we were all struggling to breath ...
