Nao vimos mais neve na cidade, mas continua nevando nas montanhas. Alias, isso me lembra de contar um erro basico de viagem, tomei agua daqui sem saber se era boa. Ao chegar no hotel no Domingo, me oferecerm algo para beber e pedi agua, quando vi o copo percebi que a agua era amarelada mas nao pude recusar para nao ser mal educado. A noite, sem opcao de supermercado, tive que tomar essa agua novamente. Depois ...

... so so like many parts of New Zealand I felt such an immense sense of peace as my mind was resolved to a sense of calm. To walk along the beaches is to walk some 4,5,7,8 km without seeing another. ... the lake. The colour was really amazing, a pity it doesn`t come out as well in the photos. I didn`t have time to go see the ice caves up on the mountain under the galacier but I hear they are spectacular also. On my way back I spotted something that looked like shamrock in the distance. Now somebody told me once that it only grows in Ireland. If thatīs true them Iīm wrong and itīs something else but to me it looks like Shamrock!

... as we tipped in the opposite direction... this was really exciting! There were other crashes from within the cabin and we giggled as we tried to identify the falling objects, later waking to a cabin with the appearance of having been ransacked: the floor littered with lifejackets, gloves, boots, battery chargers, papers, pens, water bottles... ... eerste eiland, laten we het voor het gemak Groot Brittanie noemen, woonden twee volksstammen in volstrekte harmonie. Allereerst de Christelijke soort wannabe pinguins en daarnaast de Moslimse zeeleeuwen. Om dit zo te houden, lieten ze geen mensen op het eiland toe en zeker geen onrustzaaiers als Wilders, groot gelijk. De wannabeīs geven altijd zoīn vertederend gevoel, echt grappig hoe ze heen en weer waggelen over het eiland, maar onze interesse ...

... tomorrow there is an optional excursion to the Tierra Del Fuego national park, before we board the Russian ship Academic Ioffe, at 4:00 pm for a 3 week voyage to Isla Malvinas (for the Argentinans, or Falkland islands for the rest of us), south Georgia island, and Antarctica. ... en figuurlijk het einde van de wereld! vroeger, ruim honderd jaar geleden, was Ushuaia ontstaan als strafkolonie voor Argentijnse misdadigers.Wat een straf.. De reis zal zeker lang zijn maar het schijnt ook een mooie reis te zijn. Waarbij je rijdt door een steppelandschap, wat bevolkt wordt door herders en duizenden schapen. ... same 3 or 4 stores that were open. We had lunch at Tante Sara. A nice cosy restaurant and eventually we made our way down to the boat. Moored behind us was Gap Adventures' little red boat. It was about to embark on its last journey while we were in Chile it sank. Thankfully everybody on it was OK.

Now we were ready for an incredible journey...to Cape Horn and the Magellan Straights.
