    ... now stands. After lunch I drove for a time until we reached Petoskey via the 131. We took a tour of the Kilwins chocolate/fudge factory and samples some of their tuttles. They also sell this fudge on Mackinac island.

    Had dinner at Dixie's saloon and restaurant in Mackinaw City. It is a real tourist town with lots of fudge, candy and souvenir shops. I had half a slab of ribs and took over half of it home. it was great to be served ...

    ... route south and first stop was Port Iroquois Light Station. We were able to walk to the top of the tower. Overcast day and view over Lake Superior was a little affected but still worth the walk up the 76 steps. Had passed lots of bike riders along the way and came across their support vehicles at the Light Station. Food and drinks were waiting for them. It was an organised bike holiday.
