      ... an easy drive! It rained all the time and at times it was coming down so hard we had to slow way down to see the road! We saw more lightning and heard more thunder in a day than we've seen in years in SD!

      ... he likes the challenge of learning something new too. After we found the right battery and ordered it we drove through Jacksonville to get to the A1A. Jacksonville seems to be a very working class city and as it was Sunday, the streets were very very quiet. It took awhile to make our way through the streets but we managed to get through Jacksonville and onto the A1A.       ... just in time, only minutes later and the water would have had it stuck fast. My hero for helping, as others walked by them just looked on. He was drenched and covered in splattered sand all up one side when he got back to the hotel, so we headed up to our room so he could shower off.       We shrugged off our sea legs and headed north up the coast of Florida from Ft. Lauderdale. We drove to the International Speedway at Daytona Beach, home of the Daytona 500, to view the track from the grand stands. NASCAR founder, Bill France, opened the racetrack in 1959. It is a 2.5 mile speedway with a 3.56 mile infield road course.
