... the freeway, but well worth it for the scenery. The other thing that slows us up, of course, is photo opportunities along the way. There are vista points right the way down the coast, and there are many of them let me tell you. We stop at nearly every one of them to start with but restrain ourselves as we motor down this stunning coastline, as Elaine said, "there are only so many photos you can take of beautiful"... most profound. And beautiful it most certainly is, with huge ...

Headed back to the room for an early night as got to get up at the crack of dawn in the morning.
    Next stop now San ...

We arrive in Ventura and we heard they have a great crazy golf course so we head in that direction. There are 2 courses but are advised to play with the one with lights due to the sun setting soon. Some of the holes have amazing features and the biggest castles/boats/hazards I've seen. Its not as good as Pirates Cove in Florida but its up there. Pre tournament favourite was Jim as he is the only one who plays actual golf but this is ...

... Wet Wednesday" evening race. We were invited to watch it from their second story deck. It was a quick race as it didn’t start until 6 and sundown is around 7. The race is out in the ocean and the race committee runs it from their second floor deck via radio. The finish is a virtual line running from the deck, across their parking lot, across the boulevard outside their gates and across the sand dunes and beach! Someone with binoculars calls it ...
