We woke up to sunshine which was the first we had seen in days so I was sort of feeling torn between racing home or spending a few moments checking out the Lake. We asked for some suggestions from the front desk and got a great tip to take the scenic drive up Prospect Mountain which was literally a few blocks away. I went around front to yell up to mom (since I knew we had the windows open and were right above the main porch area) but I tried the front door and thankfully that was open. I carried some of mom’s stuff down and AGAIN locked myself out although my recovery was faster this time knowing the front door was indeed unlocked, it still sucked because it was raining by now.

Now we are heading off to the Finger Lakes region of New York and Watkins Glen. Perhaps some car racing is in our future? Only the next blog posting will tell!
