      ... couple of road signs that said 'Thickly Settled', which I was mystified by (are they talking about my waistline?) It turns out that it means densely populated and you must not drive more than 30 mph. Who knew?

      The end of the day brought us to Mystic, CT. We walked around a bit as the sun was going down, catching some beautiful light and chatting with a road-tripping couple from Seattle. They have a motorhome and are spending a year on the road. I'm envious.

      We left Boston behind this morning for our trip to Mystic. It is called this after an Indian tribe and also it is on the river Mystic. We had an excursion booked at a place called the Plimoth Plantation. This is a reconstruction of the first settlement of the pilgrims that settled their colony there.
