We enjoyed a nice walk up and down (lovely to be barefoot in sand again!) admiring the view and trying to imagine it packed with people in summer. It was basically deserted except for a couple of guys in waders heading out with specialised rakes and buckets. We figured they were off to gather some of the famous local clams, which made us jealous and hungry!
