It has been one month since we landed on the west coast, time has flown! The month has been a combination of exploring our island, San Diego and beyond, job lists, shopping lists, unpacking and getting to know new friends. ... drag, across a 4 lane road from the famous Del Coronado Hotel. The "Del" hotel faces the wide sandy beach. After a seafood dinner next door we walked the beach and hotel. It was getting cool!



Our hotel is better than I had expected. We are still exhausted from yesterday. I am up late doing this entry. I do hope I can upload this thing. I did hit the save a draft button a few times while I typed. Seaworld tomorrow.

... as a grand hotel for the wealthy. You couldn't ask for a more perfect setting. While the Del went through some hard times and even faced demolition, it has survived and thrived and is one of the top resorts in the country today. It is also one of the few old grand hotels remaining today. The architecture is stunning, the service impeccable. The rooms are nicely appointed and updated, but not too fussy. ... started to do a tail slap and water went everywhere, so I had to quickly out away the camera and oh my goodness we got wet. It it was such a fun experience though. I took some pretty awesome photos and Katie got some great shots of the water coming our way before we got wet. Charlie was not happy with it at all. But still clapped at the end.
