      Last Nights in Crete :(

A travel blog entry by tanya.lesiuk on Oct 13, 2014

... the last table outside on this crisp night, ordered my dishes and now I await their arrival. The restaurant I'm dining at this evening is one called ιπποκα 61;μος meaning seahorse in Ancient Greek. Although positioned on the busiest street near the port, the atmosphere, or at least in my eyes is bliss. You could claim that the traffic is a major disturbance but I wouldn't change a single thing about the positioning. ...

I live on Vancouver Island, do you know of Vancouver?” I ask. He nods, and I continue to tell him that the Island isn’t far from Vancouver, and that you can take a boat or a plane to get to it. He gets excited, “boat ?! I’m ...

      A quick stop

... it is very windy and very rough. Tender boats are needed here and if they say it is unsafe no one will be allowed to leave the ship. Unfortunately this proves to be the case. They allowed disembarking passengers off but those who were only visiting briefly had to stay on board. The upper decks were crowded and the wind fierce for the offshore photo shoots. There will be many upswept / wind tousled records of this moment ...
