    A sanctuary in the mayhem of a city

    If you are looking 'for reasonably priced accomodation in the heart of Sukhumvit this i sht eplace. Clean rooms with friendly staff and freshly cooked breakfast what more can you ask for,

    Crossing into Thailand

    ... loaded up all of our bags to take them to our bus on the Thai side, we queued to be stamped out of Cambodia then walked past stalls selling clothes, food and randomly sparrows and turtles to get stamped into Thailand. Then it was find an ATM, start getting our heads round a new currency (£1 = 50Baht) and hide out in the coffee shop til our Thai bus arrived to drive us to Bangkok. As if spending our last group day travelling wasn't bad enough ...

    ... saying we would come back home. A few meters away, I realized that all the temples we wanted to visit were closed according to him, while all those he proposed were open. It didn't make sense so we decided to check the temples anyways to see if they were open. And they were indeed! We really hated that behaviour, lying to people just to get a few dollars ! We ended the day with Wat Arun, on which we had nice views of the city. We headed back home at 5 p.m ...

    ... in the Philippines and I got to see her a lot. We were best friends in high school and when she moved back after senior year graduation we kept up our communications though not as regular. We remained friends but didn't see each other much. She did visit Chicago and New York once, but it was nice having her so close and in the same time zone. Old friends like these are few and far between as we get older and life takes us on different paths. So I cherish these ...
