... 2700 BC) monolith/tomb. At the monolith site (and elsewhere in the countryside) we saw trees that had the bark stripped off. We weren't sure what was going on until we took a closer look and realized the bark was being harvested to make corks and cork products. After an awesome descent, it was time for a quick shower and our guides dumped us on the bus back to Girona where we said good bye to all our cycling friends. Mike drove us out of Girona, Spain ...

Or - Actually the Spanish are friendly if you need them to be! I was on my way to photograph the 2 geese but had to turn the van round before paying the campsite fees . The geese were, as usual making a lot of noise but I ignored them. Oh foolish man. Had I remembered my history lessons from Miss Gilbert all those years ago I would have realised they were giving me a warning. Not of an impending attack on Rome by the Gauls in 390 ...

... which was on the beach. Once again we had our evening thunderstorm. We were only going to stay one night but didn't feel like another big drive today so we are staying 2 nights. They have a nice big pool and a sandy beach which the boys love. The sand is finer than Spain but is not like the white sand we have at home. It's more like fine dirt. Keep the comments coming in, we do read them - we just don't have time to respond to ...
