... place. Many American, German soldiers and Belgium civilians were killed. Yesterday we visited the American memorial. It was getting late and we still had a 30min drive to the hotel. We decided to leave the museum till today.  This morning after a lazy start we went back to the town of Bastogne to visit the war museum. The new museum was only finished last year and it was amazing . It told the story from the end of world war 1 to the end ...

... a walk around looking at all the different cows, there were Belgian ones, German ones and Swiss ones, a couple of baby ones and big ones. We also picked plums and raspberries from the trees and made a tart when we got home. The tart had the butter from the farm and eggs from Louise’s hens!! Something I really wanted to do.

Louise has a beautiful big house, with a matching big garden. ...

24 hours in Liege, 24 hours of eating

... dry meat that Niokli (the brother in-law brought back with him). One has cheese, one nuts, one alcohol and one is wild boar. This is joined by some cheese and pesto on crackers. Delicious!

For dinner we have a local speciality, which is basically meatballs in a special local sauce. It was very tasty, sweet. All of this was of course washed down with different Belgium beers and a win by the team!
