    Summary

Drove 112 miles in 1.5 hours.

    Highlights

I had no idea that Cape Cod was this close to Boston, it was a very easy and fast drive. I'm sure that in high season the route we took would be clogged up, however we had it almost to ourselves.

It was sunny though not hot enough for a swim in the ocean, so the locals were saved from that sight for another day. We stayed in West Dennis which is about the dead centre of the ...

Walked round the whole convention, weaving in out of people, 50 000 people were expected to attend over the three days that it's on. Managed to get lots of photos with a variety of characters including ...

I noticed a big cemetery from the top of the Monument and decided once I left this ...

... and then Phil is putting all the pictures I used for the book back into his scrapbooks. Later, rushed as usual, we were going to the show and suddenly we have to drive 3 towns away to buy a case of wine! Traffic is murderous and after getting the wine had to drive back though our town and one town over to the IMAX. Show was ready to start when we arrived! Saw Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol - Good effects but plot a bit thin and confusing but we ...

... and they have now been replaced by Nauset Lighthouse. Glad we saw them but....I wouldn't recommend wasting your time if you are ever there in the future. When we got back to the parking lot, we saw a small shack and a sign outside describing the shack that was there. We then found out it was the location of the first Trans-Atlantic copper cable. This is where it came on shore from Europe. We were impressed.
