However our purchases were quite mundane - we bought two slabs of water and various other bits and pieces. Although we can exchange the mini bar set up in our cabin for all water, or all alcohol, it’s worth more to us to change it to two coffee cards which cost $31 each as opposed to less than $4 for a slab of water … it’s a no brainer to buy the water ...

At 3pm our room was ready. It is not as small as I anticipated. Everything fit into the closet nicely with room left over. We even had space available in some of the drawers. Maybe I could have packed more? The one drawback is lack of electrical outlets. It will be a bit tricky with all the computers and stuff that Rich wants. We will see how this pans ...

... that even though we were up early, the stores don't open until 0900 and all the places that Joan wanted to see were up at the north end of town. Joan decided that it just wasn't feasible to visit the sites, so all she wanted was to find something to take back to the ladies back home from Sarasota. ... but this was our only day in Florida, so we went out anyway. We saw Los Olas Boulevard (shopping) and the rather luxurious Galleria shopping centre (more shopping). We then walked along the beach for a couple of miles, and stopped at Casablanca for dinner. Pretty good, but not terribly Moroccan. The humous tasted like ground chick peas, unadulterated by flavour. Oh, but it was great, and who cares about the food - we sat just steps from the Atlantic ...
