Our plan for the day was to tour the Beara Peninsula. Kenmare is positioned perfectly, right at the corner of the Beara Peninsula and the more famous Ring of Kerry (another peninsula). It’s also 20 kilometers from Killarney National Park, so it was a perfect home base.

Kenmare is known for its pricey restaurants, but we found good and somewhat affordable food at the Coachman's. We took adavantage (again) of the Early Bird offerings, and were quite happy. After dinner we came back to the b&b to unwind and read a bit.
