We woke up this morning to find a blanket of snow over everything outside. So we had some breakfast and went outside in the snow, we even got to walk on the frozen river. Then we got ready to drive to Beaver Meadows Ranch. It was about an hours drive and we saw a lot of mountains along the way. We we got outside and it was FREEZING! We walked through the wind and snow to the place where we were going tubing. What you do to tube is grab ...

The day closed with another eat out session at the Yard house ...

... was quite a cool ride out to Idaho Springs (the turn off) even though we were on a four lane interstate. We had a scenic ride for several miles with the temperature starting to cool down just a little. Then we came to the ticket booth which advertised 54F at that point, but 43F at the top (including wind chill). We continued up to the top, the road quite scary in places as the road just ...

... we never should have come there as there was no place to park and no place to turn around. Great! I was shaking from my nerves as it was coming up this steep road and now this? The woman whom I spoke to with on the phone came up to us and walked us up to their gated area. Now this area really was not big enough to do a clean turn around but we were able to do this. Now as all of this was going on my husband voiced his ...
