... decoration. The main site was totally unmarked, weeds replacing Romans. Four military jets roared overhead, showing the flag.

Backtracked to Panetteria, a swish bakery, for a few items for lunch [2.2], chowing down in some shade near a little inland square. I think it was the shape of a small church behind me.

The tourist streets aren't worth photographing but more interesting tidbits are always on offer along residential streets. Better muffllers on scooters would ...

... hours since we've seen water. The 20M stop in Lerissos naturally turned into 30M. There's a laziness to the group that is deplorable but most of them have one foot in the grave as it is. The high gas prices naturally lead to essentially smaller cars ie few gas guzzlers.

Much of the area involves at least a narrow beach for the locals. The water in the the Gulf of Agion Oros is clear. There are pcokets of resorts all along the road.

Plotted up for the evening in a little town called Porto Lagos, it sounds very quaint but could be mistaken for Lagos *****ia, that is a place to avoid....
Booked a hotel online, it looked and sounded very nice, it probably was when the took the photos in 1960.....

Wandered into town for some scoff, ended up getting very drunk with some locals.

... a most around the outside and a pile of cannon balls in a corner. When we climbed up the tower, which was narrow and made for very short people, the view at the top was amazing. We wandered around for a while and just relaxed which was nice as we had no time restraints or other things to rush off and see. So and I got our own hotel room so after getting ice cream we went up and blobbed out until dinner time. ...
