Caught a bus for the two hour trip up the coast to Kavala in the Macedonia region of Greece.

Morning.... Not too shabby a view from our balcony!

The mountains were formed by... Mmm ... Some process I can't remember but they are truly spectacular. There are hundreds of shapes and sizes and are one of the unique landforms of Europe. They tower of the town of Kalambaka and sitting atop is the monastery we will visit today.

... led down. Nice to see butcher shops, an area of specialization still a separate business in many countries. No problem
getting back.

A shower and computer time. Downloaded the pix. Might go for a cheeky beer nearby in celebration of getting the blog pretty much done. The closest bar had on a local footie game on so wound up at the hotel bar for a Vergina beer with nibblies, once the barman found an opener [3]. Somehow it was 2300 so sleep time.
