We set off to follow the track besides which we had camped. We passed through the muddy part we walked to yesterday, the water was quite deep in places. We continued for a few kilometres dodging low branches and passing through flooded track. We could see a dog on the track ahead if us, as we got closer we realised it was a jackal, it let us follow it for a short while and then disappeared into the undergrowth.
