    ... and waves that enhance various features of light. There is a lot of beautiful timber within the home, framing doorways and windows. He also designed La Sagrada Familia cathedral begun in 1882 and which is still in construction although Gaudi died in1926. Barcelona also has an Arc de Triomf that graces the entrance to the city and leads to the famous Las Ramblas, an attractive tree lined avenue. As always, we walked until it was time to return to the ship.

    As mentioned, we departed the ship in Cadiz and flew to Barcelona for 3 days.

    ... get to the park….what felt like 500 narrow steps at an almost 90 degree angle, all dripping with sweat we finally got to the park entrance, looked to our right and saw some freaking escalators!! At least we walked off some of the pizzas we have been eating. A further trek up the hill to the look out was worth it for the beautiful 360 degree view of the city.     Goodbye Spain. I love your Camino and who knows, maybe I will come back and do a different one some time in the future? I loved the walking (maybe a little less so with my sore heal), I loved the friendships I made along the way, the sense of family, support, laughter and sharing of stories.
